Your advisee has made preliminary application the Carlow-sponsored program at the American University in Rome. This program is available to a limited number of meritorious Carlow students each Fall and Spring semester. Please evaluate the student's personal and academic strengths. Consider maturity, flexibility and ability to adapt to new circumstances. Also state how study abroad in general and the AUR experience could complement the student's personal development and academic career, specifically, his/her major (and minor) area(s) of study. Finally, consider whether the semester that the student wishes to study abroad would fit his/her academic program.
